Three papers - two theory and one practical - with the practical worth a fifth of the grade. We tutor 0625 to the exact tier your child sits, build the Extended depth where the top grades live, and coach the experimental skills too many students never practise.
A simple four-step approach designed to build confidence, close gaps and improve exam performance.
We confirm the syllabus code, exam series and paper route for 0625. Everything else depends on this.
A diagnostic against the syllabus topics tells us what's secure and what isn't, so we teach the gaps rather than the whole book.
The same tutor teaches each week around school. Concepts build step by step, with the school's pace kept in view.
Past-paper questions begin early, followed by full timed papers marked against the published mark scheme.
Expert, vetted Cambridge IGCSE Physics tutors who have taught the 0625 specification. Past-paper work is reviewed against published mark schemes, so your child can see where marks are awarded and where they are being lost. UK-qualified teachers are available on request as a premium option.
Not "cambridge igcse physics in general" - this syllabus, this tier and these papers.
Your child learns where the marks actually are, not where they feel they should be.
Shared whiteboard, worked solutions and lesson materials saved to review after the session.
The same tutor every week - and if that changes, we tell you first.
Cambridge IGCSE Physics is tiered and every candidate sits three papers: a multiple-choice paper, a theory paper and one practical paper. Core candidates take Papers 1, 3 and 5 or 6; Extended candidates take Papers 2, 4 and 5 or 6.
Core-tier multiple-choice physics knowledge and application
Core-tier written theory and problem-solving
Experimental skills, planning, variables, graphs and evaluation
Extended-tier multiple-choice with supplement content
Extended written theory including supplement depth
Experimental skills, planning, variables, graphs and evaluation
Every candidate takes three papers and the practical route is either Paper 5 (Practical Test) or Paper 6 (Alternative to Practical).

Every candidate takes three papers and the practical route is either Paper 5 (Practical Test) or Paper 6 (Alternative to Practical).
Overall the assessment objectives are knowledge 50%, handling information and problem-solving 30%, and experimental skills 20%. Exams run June and November, with March available in India.
None of these are about ability. Each one is a mechanism in the exam, and every one of them is trainable.
Core candidates can reach grade C; Extended candidates can reach A*. Entering the wrong tier either caps a strong student or overwhelms a developing one. We get it right early.
Paper 5 or 6 tests experimental skills: planning, variables, recording, graphs and evaluating. Students who only revise theory leave a fifth of the grade untouched.
Extended adds supplement content on top of the Core. The top grades depend on mastering that extra depth, which rote Core revision never reaches.
Questions apply concepts to situations students have not seen. Memorised facts do not transfer; understanding does. We build the ability to apply, not just recall.
Mark schemes reward exact definitions and correct terminology. Vague, everyday phrasing loses marks even when the idea is roughly right.
These are the main syllabus strands your child is expected to cover. We teach all of them, starting with the gaps that are costing marks first.
Tuition stays aligned to the exact paper or unit structure, so revision time goes where the marks actually move.

Three papers. Core candidates take Paper 1 (multiple choice), Paper 3 (theory) and a practical paper; Extended candidates take Paper 2, Paper 4 and a practical paper. The practical is Paper 5 or Paper 6.
Core covers the foundational content and is graded C to G; Extended adds supplement content and is graded A* to G. The tier is chosen at entry.
Yes. Every candidate takes one practical paper worth 20%: either a hands-on Practical Test or a written Alternative to Practical. Both test the same experimental skills.
Up to C on the Core tier, and up to A* on the Extended tier.
Six broad areas: motion, forces and energy; thermal physics; waves; electricity and magnetism; nuclear physics; and space physics.
In the June and November series, with an additional March series in India.
The free assessment maps your child against both tiers and shows which gives the best combination of achievable grade and manageable demand.
We replace them - free, and with no argument - and hand over the syllabus progress and known concerns so the new tutor continues seamlessly.
