Cambridge A Level Economics is assessed across four externally-marked papers. AS Level uses Papers 1 and 2; the full A Level adds Papers 3 and 4, with AS content assumed knowledge throughout.

Grades are A*-E at A Level and a-e at AS. Exams run June and November, with March available in India. Calculators are allowed; formulae are not given.
None of these are about ability. Each one is a mechanism in the exam, and every one of them is trainable.
AO3 (evaluation) is 25% of the marks and is what the essay and data-response levels-based mark schemes reward at the top. Students who analyse but never judge stall at a middle grade.
Paper 4 essays are unstructured - no parts to scaffold the answer. Marks come from developed, linked argument leading to a supported conclusion, not a list of points.
AD/AS, cost and market-structure diagrams must be accurate, labelled and referenced in the argument. A correct diagram left unexplained earns a fraction of its potential.
The A Level papers are written expecting secure AS knowledge. Students who 'move on' from Papers 1-2 material find the A Level papers quietly harder.
Section A rewards answers built from the provided data. Pre-learned, generic responses that ignore the source leave marks uncollected.

No. The A Level papers are normally sat together, and there is no banking of individual papers across sessions the way Edexcel's International A Level allows - though AS can be certificated first and carried forward.

Yes, in all papers. Note that formulae are not printed in the papers, so key formulae must be learned.
Yes - the essays and data-response are marked on levels, and evaluation (AO3) is where the top grades are won. We drill developed argument and supported judgement.
