Two papers, but 70% of the marks sit in one - a structured paper where evaluation, diagrams and applied data-response decide the grade. We tutor 0455 to how it is actually marked, not just the content.
A simple four-step approach designed to build confidence, close gaps and improve exam performance.
We confirm the syllabus code, exam series and paper route for 0455. Everything else depends on this.
A diagnostic against the syllabus topics tells us what's secure and what isn't, so we teach the gaps rather than the whole book.
The same tutor teaches each week around school. Concepts build step by step, with the school's pace kept in view.
Past-paper questions begin early, followed by full timed papers marked against the published mark scheme.
Expert, vetted Cambridge IGCSE Economics tutors who have taught the 0455 specification. Past-paper work is reviewed against published mark schemes, so your child can see where marks are awarded and where they are being lost. UK-qualified teachers are available on request as a premium option.
Not "cambridge igcse economics in general" - this syllabus, this tier and these papers.
Your child learns where the marks actually are, not where they feel they should be.

Grades are A* to G. Exams run in the June and November series, with March available in India. Calculators are allowed.
None of these are about ability. Each one is a mechanism in the exam, and every one of them is trainable.
Paper 2 is the only paper that tests AO3 (evaluation), and it carries 70% of the marks. Students who can describe and analyse but never weigh up and reach a judgement cap themselves well below their knowledge.
Demand and supply, PPCs and market diagrams have to be accurately drawn, fully labelled and used to support the argument - not decoration. Unlabelled or unreferenced diagrams leave easy marks on the table.
Section A hands the student unseen source material and expects answers built from it. Generic, pre-learned answers that ignore the data lose marks that applied answers collect.
AO1 credits exact economic terminology. 'Close enough' definitions of elasticity, opportunity cost or a merit good quietly cost marks across a whole paper.
With 90 marks and a compulsory-plus-choice structure, Paper 2 punishes poor time management. We drill question selection and pacing so the strongest answers actually get written.
These are the main syllabus strands your child is expected to cover. We teach all of them, starting with the gaps that are costing marks first.
Tuition stays aligned to the exact paper or unit structure, so revision time goes where the marks actually move.

It carries 70% of the grade and is the only paper that tests evaluation (AO3). A strong Paper 2 - data-response plus essay-style questions - is what separates the top grades.
