Six modular units, three exam series a year, and two written practical papers most families don't plan around. We tutor unit by unit - mechanics, fields, thermodynamics and the practical-skills papers - to the exact combination your child is taking.
The qualification is fully modular. Four theory units and two practical-skills units make up the full International A Level, each a standalone written exam that can be banked and resat toward the final grade. Practical skills are assessed on paper, not at the bench.

Units can be sat in January, June and October, and any unit can be resat to lift the grade. Practical skills are 100% written assessment in Units 3 and 6.
None of these are about ability. Each one is a mechanism in the exam, and every one of them is trainable.
Units 3 and 6 are examined on paper - uncertainty, graph work, method evaluation - and students assume they'll pick the marks up. They don't.
Modular freedom means an early, under-cooked unit sits in the aggregate untouched. Families often don't realise it can be resat.
Units 4 and 5 carry the top-grade marks. Students who coast after a strong AS discover the A* lives in the harder IA2 units.
Across the papers, at least two-fifths of marks target Level-2 maths. Students who think of it as just physics lose arithmetic marks under pressure.
Each theory paper carries an extended question marked for logical, connected reasoning. Able students who answer in fragments lose marks they clearly knew.
